This Week's PSN EU/AU PSN Releases, JRPG Style! (23/7/15)

You gotta eat more meat!
Why hello! Welcome to this week's edition of Europe and Australia's new PSN releases, which pulls each week's PSN additions related to the JRPG genre and other Japanese games into one post for your convenience.

If you're a fan of JRPG's often wacky stories, you may be interested in the visual novel about dating pigeons, Hatoful Boyfriend. Hatoful Boyfriend boasts the chance to be a lone human in an-all pigeon school and features dating sim mechanics and multiple endings. I have the game in my Steam library, but the cross-buy feature between PS4 and Vita makes it tempting to purchase again (Yeah, what up first world problem?).

Other than a hint of Deception DLC, the PSN's pretty quiet on the JRPG front. Hopefully next week is better, but otherwise go date some pigeons!
Have a good week and happy gaming!

New Releases

  • Hatoful Boyfriend (PS4, PS Vita)

DLC

Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

Paid:

  • Elaborate Trap: Cube Freezer
  • Humiliating Trap: Machine Gun Dancer
  • Sadistic Trap: Ab Cruncher

Pick of the week: Hatoful Boyfriend. How many games can you date a pigeon in, seriously?

What's your pick of the week? Will you be picking up anything from the PSN this week?

This Week's PSN EU/AU PSN Releases, JRPG Style! (17/7/15)

Why hello! Welcome to this week's edition of Europe and Australia's new PSN releases, which pulls each week's PSN additions related to the JRPG genre and other Japanese games into one post for your convenience.

The Japanese new release of the week on the PSN is Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess, which is a strategy RPG that looks like it takes it takes setting traps to a sadistic new level. Probably not a game I'll be playing, but for fans of the series it introduces a new character plus new levels and traps to the game. Also worth mentioning is the One Piece Season pass that was on sale last week is still discounted for fans of One Piece Unlimited Red World.

While I'm not the biggest source of knowledge for either of these games, I'm sure someone out there will be happy to hear about these, so I hope this was helpful! Enjoy your week and happy gaming!

New Releases

  • Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess with Bonus (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)
DLC

Deception IV TNP (PS4, PS3, PS Vita)

Paid

  • Elaborate Trap: UFO
  • Humiliating Trap: Queen's High Heel
  • Sadistic Trap: Guillotine
Deals

  • One Piece Unlimited World Red - Season Pass (PS Vita, PS3)

Pick of the week: I'm not the biggest fan of either the One Piece or Deception games (mainly because I've never played them, but they're not really on my list of games to play either), but if you particularly enjoy playing One Piece Unlimited World, the season pass is good value for all the DLC you may have been buying!

What's your pick of the week? Will you be picking up anything from the PSN this week?

This Week's PSN EU/AU PSN Releases, JRPG Style! (9/7/15)

Why hello! Welcome to this week's edition of Europe and Australia's new PSN releases, which pulls each week's PSN additions related to the JRPG genre and other Japanese games into one post for your convenience.

The PSN has looked like a river of deals these last two weeks, so writing this post feels strangely small with last week's Big in Japan sale coming to an end. Alas, Hyperdimension Neptunia ReBirth 3 is this week's new release, with a nice amount of free DLC to make sure you have the maximum Neptunia ReBirth 3 experience. Also, if you're a fan of One Piece Unlimited World Red, the season pass is on sale at the moment for a good price to satisfy your seasonal DLC needs.

Enjoy your week and happy gaming!

Pick of the week: Well, consider the volume of new releases this week, Neptunia is an obvious choice if you're a fan of the zany humour. With the amount of free DLC, themes and what not, I'd be on this train if I'd finished Rebirth 1 (but I'm still playing FFIX. Oops.)

What's your pick of the week? Will you be picking up anything from the PSN this week?

This Week's PSN EU/AU PSN Releases, JRPG Style! (2/7/15)

Why hello! Welcome to this week's edition of Europe and Australia's new PSN releases, which pulls each week's PSN additions related to the JRPG genre and other Japanese games into one post for your convenience.

This week we see two releases hitting the PSN in their localised forms. First is Ar nosurge Plus, the enhanced PS Vita version of the PS3 game Ar nosurge that was released (and I reviewed) last year that boasts extra content and DLC for those who didn't play the game and for those who loved it. Second is the cool Japanese fighting game J-Stars Victory VS+ which features a ridiculous cast of characters from anime ranging from Dragon Ball to Assassination Classroom to To Love-Ru to Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Anime fans will probably want to pick this up this fun game!

For those who aren't interested in the new releases or who enjoy saving money, the Big In Japan sale is still going, so if you need a new JRPG, you can probably find one at a great price.

Enjoy your week and happy gaming!

Pick of the week: J-Stars Victory VS+ for it's ridiculously diverse cast. Seriously. How are characters from Dragonball Z and Nisekoi in the same game? Brilliant.

What's your pick of the week? Will you be picking up anything from the PSN this week?
