This Week's PSN EU/AU New Releases, JRPG Style! (25/7/14)

More tumbleweeds in PSN's Japanese gaming land this week, at least in the new releases section. The most notable thing on the Playstation Store for fans of Japanese games this week is Ragnarok Odyssey Ace, which is part of the store's Deal of the Week promotion. I've only played about five minutes of the demo, so I don't really have a recommendation yet but you can decide if you like it or not by playing the free demo.

This Week's PSN EU new releases, JRPG Style! (6/6/14)

Your weekly PSN update, as promised! Not a lot to boast about in J-RPG land this week, with one new game and unrelated DLC only. But if you're into localised, Japanese Idol games, go play the new Neptunia game!

New Releases

Hyperdimension Neptunia: Producing Perfection: Ooooh, I'm so jealous of anyone who buys this one!

The CPUs of Hyperdimension Neptunia's stocks fall due to an 'Idol boom' so the girls decide to join in on the musical fun. Your job is to produce them by polishing their performance skills and keep them from becoming stressed so that they become the best Idols and their stocks boom.

This game isn't for everyone - you only have to google the game's reviews to see that. If you're a fan of the Neptunia games or Idol simulator games, I think this is for you. It's a fun idea that isn't meant to be taken too seriously, sounds like it will fit well as a portable game and I can't wait to play it.

This week's notable EU PSN releases...JRPG style! (29/5/14)

Every week a heap of games and DLC are released on PSN. In this post, I like to put all the JRPGs and Japanese games to make it easier for you to find them!

PS. You might have noticed I didn't put one of these posts up last week. It's because I didn't really see anything notable. But this week is somewhat better!

New Releases

Mugen Souls Z (PS3)

I always see the original Mugen Souls for cheap and have still never bought it. It does look interesting, even if it got a lot of mixed reviews.

In the first Mugen Souls, Chou-Chou wanted to conquer the whole world. Now she wants to conquer the universe. Also includes a battle technique called 'Fetish Pose' which is both amusing and worrying.

Mind Zero (PS Vita)

The first time I heard about this game, it was being called a Persona rip off so I now have a natural curiousity as to what this game is.

I couldn't find a heap of info about this game, other than the main character makes a contract with someone or something called 'Mind' and there are two worlds, the real world and the crazy world. It does sound a tad familiar, but I'd like to give this game a chance at some point.

Xseed Games announces FREE Gravity Rush DLC for Ragnarok Odyssey Ace

While you wait patiently for Gravity Rush 2, we can all get a bit of the adorable Kat from the original Gravity Rush back into our lives in Ragnarok Odyssey Ace. Note, she won't be a playable character, this is mostly just a costume.

XSEED Games announced via their Facebook a bunch of new DLC, including the Gravity Rush DLC, plus some new quests. Bonus, it's all free!

More info is on their Facebook page, but to summarise the Gravity Rush DLC will include a costume for Kat and Alias and some special cards to enhance aerial maneuverability and make the Dainsleif mode more efficient (I have no idea what that last part meant. I'm also reminded I need to buy the first Ragnarok Odyssey as the demo was a lot of fun.).

Ragnarok Odyssey Ace is on PS3 and PS Vita. It is already available in North America and Japan. Europe can expect to join in on the fun on the 30th of April.
