Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Finally Gets A European Release!

Creeping up to the North American release date, it was looking like European Persona 4 Arena Ultimax fans may have to import the game if they wanted to play. But Sega has instead come to the rescue, announcing they will publish and release Persona 4 Arena Ultimax both physically and digitally in November for the European region, according to Eurogamer's post.

While the game isn't region locked in North America for any fans who don't want to wait till November, I'm sure this solves some importing costs and troubles for some people *raises hand*.

Meanwhile, North American fans can look forward to the game's release on September 30th for PS3 and Xbox 360, which can be pre-ordered via Amazon or Play-Asia.

European fans: Will you be waiting for the EU release or importing the game from the US?

Margaret Has Been Confirmed As A Playable Character In Persona 4 Arena Ultimax + Official Release Date and New Japanese Trailers

After rumours surrounding a recent Persona 4 Arena Ultimax poster, Margaret has been confirmed as another playable character for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Players of Persona 4 will remember Margret as the game's Velvet Room resident, who will join her sister, Persona 3's Velvet Room resident Elizabeth in the Persona 4 Arena Ultimax character line-up. Margaret will be available in the game via DLC, though it has not yet been revealed whether she will be free in the first week like the Adachi and Marie DLC.

In the game, Margaret will use the Personas Yoshitsune, Cu Chulainn and Ardha in regular combat and her burst arrack will feature the Persona Lucifer. Here are some photos of Margret in action (courtesy of Famitsu):

Also in recent Persona 4 Arena Ultimax news, the release date for North America has been announced as September 30th. No European date has been announced, meaning that European fans may have to import the game this time around.

(Side note: I will be importing the game from Amazon and trying to get the DLC to work on an Australian Playstation. According to Google, this is possible so if I'm successful, I'll post an article here on how you guys can do it too!)

Finally, here are the latest character trailers from Japan featuring Akihiko, Aegis and Mitsuru.

Pre-order it! (English version released 30th September for PS3 and Xbox 360): Play-Asia, Amazon

Pre-order it from Japan! (Japanese version released 28th August for PS3): Play-Asia

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Trailer Time! Japanese Marie Trailer + The First English Trailers: Yukari, Junpei and Rise

This week in Atlus's Persona 4 Arena Ultimax trailers, Marie takes the stage in this week's Japanese trailer. We get a look at her attacks and her Persona Kaguya in action below.
(There may be some slight out-of-context spoilers for Marie for any Persona 4 Golden fans who haven't finished the game!)

You may have noticed I specified that this was the Japanese trailer. This is because AtlusUSA posted it's first round of English character trailers for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. Complete with English voice acting and translations, here are the trailers for Yukari, Junpei and Rise. Let us know what you think in the comments!

Epic New Promo Video For Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Instead of the usual short character trailers, this week Atlustube is showing off a nearly three minute promo video of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The promo video is a good summary of what we've been shown from the game so far, plus includes some new footage. Some of this footage includes flashes of game play and shows features such as Golden Arena, Score Attack, Lobby and Gallery Modes that we can expect to see in the game.

The trailer also shows a couple of new screenshots from the Adachi DLC, including this intriguing one:

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax will be released in Japan on the 28th of August 2014 on Playstation 3. The Western release is due Fall 2014 on Playstation 3 and Xbox360.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax News: Naoto and Kanji trailers + Adachi DLC Free On Launch Week

Because when you get an email from Atlus saying "Egocentric Police Dick", you know it's gonna be good.
The amount of hyping and news Atlus is giving for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax is getting me ridiculously hyped for this release. Along with the weekly character trailers, it was revealed that the Tohru Adachi chapter DLC will be available for free the first week of the game's launch in the US. Anyone with pre-orders shouldn't fret - the DLC will be included with their order.

I hope a European release gets announced so us Australian and European gamers can enjoy the DLC too! (As you may or may not know, DLC is locked by region)

This week's character trailers are Naoto Shirogane and Kanji Tatsumi. I see what you did Atlus, putting Naoto and Kanji together!

Kanji Tatsumi

Import from Japan (release date August 28th): Play-Asia

More Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Trailer Goodness! This Time It's Chie and Shadow Labrys

Atlustube seems to be treating us to weekly Persona trailers, so this time around we have Chie and Shadow Labrys' trailers to enjoy and excite us. My favourite part? My low Japanese level managed to notice that the first word in Chie's trailer is 'meat'.

Chie Satonaka

Shadow Labrys

Pre-order at: Play-Asia or Amazon
Both are offering pre-order bonuses including part 1 of the Persona Tarot Cards and a mini Teddie punching bag.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Shows Off The New Villain: Sho Minazuki

The mysterious newcomer Sho Minazuki has received his own trailer for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. It seems that there's also a brief glimpse at his Persona Tukiyomi when he's fighting Chie. Translations from Siliconera have pointed out that he wants to destroy the world and only one life will live on. *chills*

23/5/14 - J-RPG Jungle's weekly trailer round up! Akiba's Trip 2, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and more!

Hello there!

Each week many awesome game trailers and videos are released. For the sake of simplicity, every Friday I put the ones I think you should know about in this weekly round up post.

This week was a little quiet on the JRPG news and videos front. That's okay - E3 2014 is fast approaching and well, E3 always has something magical up it's sleeve!

In no particular order, here are the JRPG videos from this week:

A look at some of the playable characters in Akiba's Trip 2. It also gives a good look at the explorable, open world of Akibahara. I'm super excited for that and the last girl's socks!

Note: The original game is coming out west on PS3 and Vita as Akiba's Trip: Undead & Undressed!

I knew nothing about this game when I saw this, but it involves solving cases and it looks kinda cool! You might recognise the name from Hamatora: the Animation but the game tells a different story, so you won't need to have seen the anime to understand the game. The trailer shows off the combat, including the throwing of a giant cake.

Drakengard 3 (PS3)
Interview with the Creative Director on the Philosophies of Violence in Video Games

This game hasn't had rave reviews, but this interview has made me intrigued about Drakengard 3. The Creative Director speaks about how today's 'violence in video games' helped inspire Drakengard 3's story. He also does this with a sock puppet.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PS3/X360)
Sho Minazuki Trailer

A trailer for the mysterious new character in the Persona 4 Arena series, Sho Minazuki. I'm very intrigued to find out his role in the story, but for now I'll settle for watching him fight with dual swords.

You can pre-order all of these games from Play-Asia.com :)

A Wild Persona 4 Arena......Disappeared From the European PSN?!

In surprising news, Persona 4 Arena has just up and disappeared from European PSN (and I can confirm Australian from a quick search). This was confirmed on the Playstation Blog by Jawad Ashraf who said Persona 4 Arena was removed at the request of the publisher. He also gave this comment:

"I haven’t been given any information as to why, just that we obliged with the request. Sorry I can’t be more transparent :(
Let’s hope Ultimate makes it’s way over, eh?"
Let's get a bit personal here: I don't like this. I've been checking JB Hi Fi and EB Games for a few months for pre-orders for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and while it's not a triple A game, I haven't found any signs of it coming over. It's coming to North America (I've pre-ordered mine from Amazon) but I really hope it comes out here and in Europe too.

If you're looking to get a copy of the original Persona 4 Arena, it is available from Play-Asia.com. MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR REGION BEFORE BUYING! Persona 4 Arena is the one PS3 game that is region locked so for once, you will need to check your region.

All four new Persona games will be localised for 2014 and 2015!

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Persona 4 Dancing All Night and Persona 5 have been announced for an English release on AtlusUSA's official YouTube.

For Fall 2014 (which is Australia's Spring) we will see Persona 4 Arena Ultimax on PS3 and XBox360 and Persona Q on 3DS (and you bet I'll be buying a 3DS for this). Persona 5 for PS3 and Persona 4 Dancing All Night for PS Vita are scheduled for 2015.

Applause to Atlus for doing localisation for all four new titles! Also, I highly enjoy the way they're releasing these. A console game and a portable game. One for home, one for the train. This probably wasn't their intention at all....but it's genius.

Here are the links for the trailers: (will insert them in this post when I'm home)

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

Persona 5

Persona 4: Dancing All Night

There are no words for how excited I am. I'm going to have to save a lot of money to afford these, but it will be worth it. I'm most excited for Persona 5 as the theme looks very interesting and is meant to be an 'empowering' game so I'm curious to see what Atlus has in store for us! (Want to read a translated article from pepsimangb's Tumblr on Persona 5? Click here!)

What Persona game are you most keen for? Will you buy them all or only a few or none at all? Comment below.

Have a great day all! I'm off to work (blergh)
