This Week's PSN EU/AU PSN Releases, JRPG Style! (5/6/15)

Why hello! Welcome to this week's edition of Europe and Australia's new PSN releases, which pulls each week's PSN additions related to the JRPG genre and other Japanese games into one post for your convenience.

So I must have been living under a rock or something over the last few weeks (or starting a new job), because I somehow completely missed that Steins;Gate was coming to PS3. Steins;Gate is one of my favourite anime ever because of it's deep story about time travel and it's effects on others and the game is meant to delve much deeper into this tale. If you haven't experienced the story, this is supposed to be the best way to do it.

Joining Steins;Gate are Operation Abyss and Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign-. I'm definitely excited for Guilty Gear's 2.5D graphics and because I always love an Arc System Works fighting game. Operation Abyss could also be interesting, with it incorporating lots of ideas from other games hopefully in new ways. With these three new releases, I'm pretty happy with this week's selections for JRPG fans and would call this a good week!

To all of you, have a good week and happy gaming!

Guilty Gear X2 - Reload Coming To Steam

Last week, digital publishers Kiss Ltd. announced via Twitter that they are bringing Arc System Works' Guilty Gear X2 - Reload game to Steam. The game will be released September 5th. The original tweet can be viewed below:

Guilty Gear X2 - Reload was originally released in Japan 2003 and in Europe 2004. The game expanded on the original Guilty Gear XX game by adding balancing changes to all characters, two secret characters and a fully voiced story mode for console players. No other details have been released related to the Steam release, so keep an eye out for the game in September.

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN- For PS4 Will Be Released In Japan December This Year

Famitsu Magazine has leaked that Arc System Works is due to release Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- for PS4 and PS3 on December 4th 2014 in Japan. This will be the first Guilty Gear game to launch on PS4 and also Arc System Works' first game for the PS4.

Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- is also due for release in North America in 2014. One could speculate that Japan's release date could possibly give us an idea on when we can expect to see the game in the West, but no official date has been indicated by the game's publisher Aksys Games as of yet.
